EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
Early childhood education (ECE) is a fundamental pillar of our programs. We believe that every child, regardless of their background or circumstances, should have equal access to high-quality education. This early foundation sets the stage for their future academic achievements and personal growth.
This project takes two approaches;
SCHOOL BASED ECE
Through a public-private partnership model, we established three Early Childhood Education centres hosted in public primary schools, our goal is to ensure that every child receives a high-quality education from an early age. We work closely with schools to implement sustainable models of early childhood education which involves the community in running the schools sustainably.
COMMUNITY BASED ECE
To address the limited access of early childhood education in rural, low-income, and marginalised communities, we designed a model of early childhood education which brings education as close as possible to children who would otherwise not have gone to school. Given the spaces available in mosques, churches on weekdays, unused parts of school compounds, we make use of this space to educate aged three to five who are out of school. Each center is run by at least three para-educators, each with the capacity to manage twenty five children through a play-based model of learning.
